Square Enix Opens Piano Collections Portal Site

Square Enix has opened a portal site devoted exclusively to its Piano Collections series of soundtracks. As the name indicates, the Piano Collection Series offers piano renditions of your favorite Square Enix music. The series has releases for Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts and NieR. FFXIII-2 Facebook Connectivity

For all of you people who have Facebook out there and will be playing Final Fantasy XIII-2, you will be glad to hear that Final Fantasy XIII-2 has been patched with Facebook connectivity today. Input your facebook info into the game and this will allow you to update your wall with things like story progression, monsters in your party, etc.

Square Enix opened up their own Final Fantasy XIII-2 Facebook Page today as well.

Second Demo Footage of Theatrhythm Final Fantasy

The second demo of Theatrhythm Final Fantasy is available for download in Japan. Below, we have footage of the demo, which features Locke(FFVI) and Sunleth Waterscape(FFXIII). The Man with the Machine Gun(FFVIII) is also another track that is in the demo also.

FFXIII-2 Ultimania Guides Weight & Information

A few bits and pieces of information regarding the Final Fantasy XIII-2 Ultimania Guides have surfaced today including the exact weight of these books. Both books weighed on a scale together comes out to about 1.6KG. As you may know, ultimania guide books usually come with interviews from the developers of the game, these are no different.

Director Motomu Toriyama and Producer Yoshinori Kitase mention and refer to Noel & Serah's journey as the "Noel & Serah Volume." We can also expect a Lightning Volume, a Snow Volume, a Sazh Volume, and more. These other volumes do not necessarilly mean they will be downloadable content as they pointed out that they could come in different forms like novels. What else will Toriyama and Kitase have in mind for Final Fantasy XIII-2? We'll just have to wait and see.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 Lightning DLC Update!

Square Enix has released additional information concerning the previously announced Lightning Colosseum battle DLC. The DLC will be released on February 7th and will be priced at is ¥300 on PS3 and 240 MSP on Xbox 360.

Additionally the Lightning battle is split into two parts; Firstly you'll face off against Lightning. Around the middle of the battle Lieutenant Amoda of the Guardian Corps will join the fight. As reported earlier, defeating Lightning results in her becoming playable specialized in the "Blaster/Ravager" role.

Final Fantasy 25th Anniversary Goodies

In honor of Final Fantasy' 25th Anniversary, Square Enix will be commemorating this joyous event with a few goodies. First of these items is a deck of 54 playing cards featuring characters from previous FF's, planned for Spring. The other is a special Tumbler with the final fantasy 25th anniversary logo displayed on it, which will be available late March. A set of other tumblers with Cloud, Sephiroth, Lightning, and Theatrhythm illustrations will be available late March as well. Check out the images below!

Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Demo 2 Hits 1st February

As promised by Tetsuya Nomura in recent interviews, Square Enix will release a second demo for Theatrhythm Final Fantasy. Titled Demo Version 2, the demo will be available on February 1 and will include two songs, FFVIII's battle song The Man with the Machine Gun, and FFXIII's field song The Sunleth Waterscape. The two songs can be played on three difficulty settings.

KH3D Anniversary Box Includes 3 Games

Square Enix revealed a Kingdom Hearts 10th Anniversary Box for KH3D to us last week and now the details are pouring in as to what the contents of this box contains. This box will come packaged in with 3 games:

Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Special Trailer

Square Enix have released a "special trailer" for Theatrhythm Final Fantasy that has over three minutes of gameplay footage showing the game's opening, stage, character and ability select, and rhythm play. Watch the video below!

Final Fantasy XIII-2 Sells 8,706 Copies in Week 6

Media Create figures for week 3 (1/16 - 1/22) have finally come out and Final Fantasy XIII-2 has sold 8,706 copies in its sixth week. The game has now sold 762,674 copies in Japan so far.

Final Fantasy Type-0 Art Book Cover

Square Enix have revealed the official cover of the Final Fantasy Type-0 art book which will be releasing in Japan on the 23rd February, priced at ¥2,940. The book includes over 300 pieces of artwork, showing the characters, summons, enemies, air ships, backgrounds and more, much of it previously unreleased. As well as this the book also has a look back at the battles of Class 0, and a collection of player data from Square Enix Members.
