So all's well, galactic. Posted By: evll33t2 Date: we forgive and move on with life right guys and gals? Posted By: galactic_barret Date: I know, I know, I wasn't trying to be a jerk. I agree with what you are saying (I also call here Aeris). Again, I'm sorry. Guess my uppityness has earned me scorn. I shall gracefully bow out and hang my head in shame. Farewell brothers and sisters. I shall return renewed and seek to earn your love. Posted By: evll33t2 Date: we all have our freedoms will call him whatever we feel like Posted By: Finalfantasykid Date: I realize that the proper pronunciation is Tee-Dus, however they never actually say his name in the game, so when I played it, it was based on my interpretation of the spelling. About three or four years after calling him Tie-Dus did I realize his name was actually Tee-Dus, but I won't change how I pronnounce it because it is simply what I am used to and actually prefer. Its the same case with Aeris and Aerith. I know that her name is actually Aerith, but when I played the game it used the spelling Aeris, so I am not changing what I relate to best. Posted By: evll33t2 Date: the sound of the name does make you go "what was that?" Posted By: SenilIonia Date: Galactic_barret - I'm funny about pronunciations myself, so I feel your pain. However, Tidus' name is where I make the break with tradition, because it could go either way, in my opinion. If you want to go with the original Japanese, then yes, it is "Tee-dus." But if you want to go with the FF team's intention (and tradition) of relating the name to a weather/water pattern ("Tide" or "Tidal"), "Tie-dus" just makes a lot more sense. It could work either way - and personally, I think "Tee-dus" just sounds silly outside of the original Japanese. I twitch when I hear it, actually. Posted By: Annonymous Date: In Europe his name was pronounced "Tie-dus" on the adverts. Posted By: galactic_barret Date: I'm really sorry about this but I have a really bad pet-peeve about mispronunciation; I have a involuntary compulsion to correct everyone if they are wrong, no matter what it is. Tidus' name is pronounced Tee-dus. I almost died when I heard you guys pronounce it Tie-Dus. Anyway, thank you for your time and great podcast. Posted By: evll33t2 Date: he sounds like ....AN UMPA LUMPA!!!!!!! Posted By: zukosgirl Date: Well, Nomura did say that people may not like him once they hear him speak. I think he'll be nicer and more friendly and easygoing than Squall or Cloud. But I do think he'll have a lot of angstalicious angst. Posted By: SenilIonia Date: Nah, I don't think he's going to be emo at all. Nomura already made a statement saying that he isn't going to be as we expect him to be (emo) or like past characters such as Cloud (emo) and Squall (emo). Everything seems to point to 'not emo,' and I trust Nomura's judgment on that front =P I picture him as being more of a trickster... or maybe even a little on the spoiled side? Then again, being a spoiled brat would make him a lot like Ashe, I suppose, so that probably isn't it, either. Squenix certainly isn't keen on handing us anything new to go on this month =/ Posted By: Houkai Date: Nah, i dont think he will be too emo Posted By: Hardedge Date: I certainly hope not D: Posted By: Kyll Date: *raises hand* Posted By: zukosgirl Date: Anyone else think Versus Prince is gonna be EMO as heck? Posted By: Eh Date: April's not a good month for FFXIII news eh? Posted By: SenilIonia Date: I'm not a podcast kind of person (it's rare when I have time to sit and listen to something for that long), but I'd just like to say that I am LOVING Crisis Core so far - and this is coming from someone who isn't ashamed to wrinkle her nose at a FF game (X-2, Dirge). So screw X-Play =) All other reviews (including yours!) seem to be in line with my current experience. Posted By: Kyll Date: Sweet, cya there. Look for an Aerith and a Genesis walking around XD. Posted By: Curare85 Date: hey i'm from Baltimore , Maryland . hope to see you guy's there . it'll be my first Otakon this year . Posted By: Teh Sleepy Date: LOL nice podcast, i listened to like an hour of it.. now im taking a break becuz its soo long (: but till GOOD! GLad they were talking bout CRISIS CORE! LOVE IT ! WOO Posted By: evll33t2 Date: .......THEY DID WHAT 2 STARS!!!!!!!! Posted By: Some Guy Date: You guys should watch the X-Play game review for Crisis Core. They gave it a 2 out of 5 stars. What do you guys think of this since you love it to death. X-Play also made an April fools re-review of the game which was funny and then Adam Sessler talked like an angry cereal killer saying the f-word about how its sad people like us care that they gave it 2 out of 5 stars. I was really freaked out. So yeah, what are your opinions in spite of all this crap. Posted By: evll33t2 Date: ok who beat crisis core before the podcast *me* Posted By: Houkai Date: Woohoo, another podcast! Oh yeah. Correct me if i'm wrong, but FFX-2 (PAL) didnt have the arena, i think it was only the Japanese release of the international misssion. Posted By: Annonymous Date: The best part was Lauren orgasming Kyll's name at the start XD Okay okay I felt like acting nooby.
