FFXIII Makes PS Home Debut

I was walking around the Japanese Home Central Plaza, checking out all the updates they had just put up for 2009 today. It is now all winter-y and has a blimp in the sky that says "...Happy New Year!". But I digress.

One of the large screens has the newest edition of the "News Report" video. The video shows footage of games coming out this year including Yakuza 3, Resident Evil 5, Final Fantasy XIII, and even Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete. Although it only shows about 5-6 seconds of footage (that we've already seen before) from Final Fantasy XIII, it's still nice to see live commercials in a public space finally.

They showed about 20-30 seconds (can't remember exactly) of footage from ACC though. It was from the TGS 2008 trailer too. They showed scenes that were revealed in scans for the most part, but at least we can see them in motion now.

But the best part about these, is the fact that the entire thing is in HD (probably 720p if i'm not mistaken). So if you've got a PS3 (which should be most of you by now), head on over to Central Plaza in the Japanese Home to check it out. If you don't have a Japanese PSN account, refer to this tutorial to learn how set one up. It's the same one I used about a year ago.

Yeah, I saw that too! too bad Square-Enix doesn't make any plans to be included as one of Home supporters. I was wandering around Akihabara last week and I saw alot of games advertisements including FFXIII and Ryu ga Gotoku 3 ~<3! It was long ago I saw an HD (outside of CMT which is better xD) trailer for FFXIII on a HD Bravia TV...don't remember if it was on ブックオフ or ヨドバシカメラ though

How much sense does it make to use Japanese Katakana on an English forum?
Especially since the first one is "Book Off", actual English words.

They might find it easier to write out that instead of English letters - like if they have a Japanese keyboard or their primary language is Japanese.

I was beginning to wonder myself... but come on guys, let's not ruin this topic with off-topic stuff.

I think it's kind of cool that they started to advertise it in Home already. Since it's advertised together with ACC I get the feeling that they only put it up there because of this movie since the demo is going to come with it. Anyhow, I'll be sure to check it out whenever I get there.

FFXIII ads in Home sounds neat...unfortunately, I don't really care about Home. It seemed pretty boring to me.
I'd rather have downloadable trailers on the PSN. That'd be nice...

I think it was only there because Famitsu is in Home as well. The Famitsu building within Home has a TV that is currently playing an interview with one of the guys on the Dissidia staff.

No, unfortunately not. But I'm about to go back there and record it with my camera, and then upload so you guys can see it.

That'd be awesome, but unfortunately the only one of those trailers that are available on PSN is Resident Evil 5. Not to say that RE5 sucks or anything, but it's unfortunate that it's the only one.

From what I've read, Japanese is not their primary language and as you can see they have no trouble typing in English, no matter if they use a Japanese keyboard or not. This is an English forum, so typing Japanese characters without giving a translation is just annoying to read, period.

Alrite, sorry to trouble you mate (and everybody), really didn't mean it. I just used the japanese characters b/c I'm really used to write all those in japanese, not in english.
