Based on the trailer posted today, it is a fairly violent game.. It would depend on the amount of blood and subject matter. Still, I think they could get away with a T rating. Somehow, I don't think SE is ready to release an M-rated Final Fantasy.
So far the game is looking pretty violent.
When the versus guy impaled one of the soldiers, there was some pretty gore intense blood. I cant think of another FF that was this much gore

I guess if Uncharted got a Teen Rating, chances are versus will get Teen as well. Unless they add a crap load more violence, and *gasp* profanity.

I think 'M' rating is a big possibility. It seems like most dark+violent RPGs have it. Just look at almost all of the Shin Megami Tensei games, Shadow Hearts, Koudelka, and Parasite Eve 1 and 2...
I wouldn't mind it, though. Perhaps it will let Nomura add something to this game that he couldn't add to FFs before because of the rating restriction.

ya i would honestly rather see it as an m rated game. I think the developers would have so much more freedom with the game, and I think it would bring in an entirely new demographic...

Either way, it doesn't affect me. I don't know how it would affect sales either.
I'm not hoping it's M or anything, but it would be awesome if there were some realistic swear words slipped in there every now and then. The blood factor should stay high for realism in both games.
well from the new trailers there is a possibility of it being M-rated but i doubt they would make it very violent. But i wouldn't mind a violent final fantasy.
I am pretty sure it will be rated M, the new trailer was pretty violent. Especially in that one scene where the protagonist impales that soldier in the air and the blood splatters everywhere.
I think an M-rated FF would be a nice change.
Well FF's tend not to have much profanity, in them, but the blood was definite sign of the possible M rating. I would rather hope, it doesn't go M rating, but it doesn't matter too much, since I'll be 17 by then.
This is the big question. Do we WANT this game to be M-Rated? Should it matter? Why should we care?
Personally, as long as it gives me an enjoyable experience, I couldn't give a rat's ass if it got an AO rating.![]()
I agree, I don't care either way what rating it gets because I'm old enough for the rating system to be moot anyway. But with the rating system as an indication of the content, I'd rather see it be a T or M rating so I know it's not stupid kiddy crap.
