The latest instalment in Square Enix's critically acclaimed The World Ends With You series is now available for purchase on Android devices in Japan. An iOS version is expected to be released at a later date.
The World Ends With You: Live Remix is a spin-off social game that allows up to 20 players to team-up and take part in a new Reaper's Game, hunting for enemies known as "Ringleader Noise".
The decision to release the game on Android devices is somewhat intriguing since the previous game in the series, The World Ends With You: Solo Remix (a remake of the original DS game) was released exclusively for iOS platforms.

Today, Square-Enix has put up some new images for the Noctis perfume on their Facebook page. It is interesting to note that they have labeled the category for the images as "FINAL FANTASY eau du toilette Noctis" and did not include the "Versus XIII" part of the game's name into it. Is it possible that the name for the game been changed after all? Similar products in the past used to include the name of the game/movie that they represent. Hopefully we'll find out soon since E3 is approaching in less than a month.

In the past week, Square-Enix has been teasing about their booth at E3 quite a lot through twitter. It appears that there will most likely going to be some interesting things shown this year. Although, the full line up of what they have in store for us is not released yet, today they have confirmed that Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will be there as they've put up this statement on their Lodestone site:
"We’re proud to announce that FFXIV: A Realm Reborn will be at E3 2013 in Los Angeles on June 11-13! While things are a bit hectic as our E3 preparations are in full swing alongside our Beta Phase 3 planning, the development and operations teams have been working hard to prepare exciting content for E3 attendees. If you’re able to attend, you'll definitely want to stop by the FFXIV: A Realm Reborn area at the Square Enix booth! Just what will the attendees be playing at the show? While we don’t want to ruin the surprise, we can say we're planning to let them try out some exciting battle content!
Since E3 is an industry-only event, many people won't be able to participate -- but don't worry! We're also prepping a lot of new videos (including an awesome new trailer!), assets and even some... hm, how should we say... "live" streamed entertainment? We'll have lots of juicy announcements for those of you watching at home, so be sure to mark your calendars!"
So please be excited!

According to the Mitsuto Suzuki's music blog, the singer, Kaori, from the band Language has been brought in to do some vocals for the background music in Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII.
"Roughly translated, it says that these mixes fit very well with the environments they are supposed to play in and that they are very exciting (for him personally, although this could also mean they are high-energy). He says something about leaving the studio ‘jumping for joy’, and that with the band’s help they came up with a few musical innovations he’d never considered before."
The band's music generally has a soothing sounds, but it is possible the music in the game will be completely different from what they usually make. Some samples of their music can be found here.
